A Tale of Two Titrators.     

An API Scientific Case History.

Shortly after returning from a week-long training session,
one of our clients called us about procuring a Titrator he had used at the Corporate QA Laboratory. His facility needed a new Titrator and he really liked the one he had seen at Corporate.

Only problem was, the one he used during training cost at least $3000 more than his budget permitted. He wanted to see if API’s industry specific purchasing power could help close that gap. 

The fact is that many manufacturers of scientific equipment
recognize the business potential of working with API on a steady basis, because it gives them direct  entre for their goods to more than 200 major QA and QC labs in the Food & Beverage industry. Our customers know that API’s pricing is just about always very competitive, so this person did the logical thing. He called API. But before calling the manufacturer to negotiate the price on his behalf, we used our ESP.

Based on the actual testing his lab performed, we were able to determine that there was a second high quality Titrator he should consider that did every test his lab needed and more. After speaking with the manufacturer, we were able to
negotiate better pricing on the original Titrator, which would have saved our client several hundred dollars. However,
we were also able to negotiate similar savings on Titrator two.
